There was a woman in my comments who said I’ve lost him, he’s a zombie, he used to be such a sweet thoughtful kid, but now I can’t connect with him at all and it’s so painful to watch.

But someone compassionate beat me to it in the response “Please don’t give up on him. My mom felt this way about me when I got completely swallowed up in my own anxiety in high school. I felt so alone and never knew how to express it.”
